Adoption Ambassadors Program

The Humane Society of North Myrtle Beach has received a grant from the ASPCA to unleash a new Adoption Ambassador Foster Program.

The Program is an innovative initiative where Foster Parents, also known as Adoption Ambassadors, are empowered to become adoption counselors on behalf of HSNMB to find and approve their fostered pets' adoptions.  Adoption Ambassadors get the incredible satisfaction of making sure their fostered animals find loving, permanent homes with families that they deserve.

The Humane Society of North Myrtle Beach is recruiting folks that are passionate about helping us save more lives by sharing their hearts, homes and businesses with homeless animals and, ultimately, saving their lives by helping them find loving, permanent homes.

We are looking for anyone who is passionate about saving homeless pets to join our Adoption Ambassador Team, especially business owners who are willing to bring foster dogs to work or who are willing to keep a shelter cat on display in their business! Foster parents are the best advocates for these animals. After all, who knows the animals better than someone who is spending the most time with them?

We need Adoption Ambassadors and businesses to take shelter dogs or cats that are available for adoption and pledge to help those animals find safe and loving homes. This program will enable our shelter to help more animals annually by reducing the overcrowding in our shelter and helping us to reach a new market of potential adopters who otherwise may never come through our doors to look for a new pet.

The Humane Society of North Myrtle Beach will provide new Adoption Ambassadors with all the supplies needed to care for their foster pets and extensive support, such as pet training and ideas for marketing fostered pets.

Pet lovers can sign up to join the Adoption Ambassadors Team by completing a Foster Application here!

Sponsor a Shelter Pet!

Did you know that you could
Sponsor a Shelter Pet?

Sponsoring an animal is one of the greatest ways you can give to The Humane Society of North Myrtle Beach. Not only are you donating to our mission, you're also being a sponsor to an animal who needs your help. With the support of our dedicated Sponsors, we're able to care for many special needs pets, including dogs, cats, kittens, puppies, and pregnant mothers.

Please help us to care for these pets by becoming a Sponsor, so we can continue to give them all the medical care and attention they need until we can find them loving homes.

Sponsoring a shelter pet is also a great opportunity for those animal loving folks who can’t adopt another cat or dog.

NMB Woman's Club Supports HSNMB

Katherine Keaton, HSNMB Board Member, received a check contribution of $2,000 from the North Myrtle Beach Woman’s Club. Club President Stephanie Williams presented the check on behalf of the club at the May meeting held at the Surf Golf and Beach Club. Ms. Keaton was the guest speaker at the meeting and spoke on the progress of a new facility for the Humane Society and the growing need for a larger and better home for our furry creatures.  Club members  also brought much needed items requested by the Humane Society to its May meeting. The items were also presented to Ms. Keaton.

Thank you to the North Myrtle Beach Woman's Club for their continued support of our communities homeless animals!
