Adoption Success Story

This just in from one of our Pet Parents:

We visited the shelter in 2008 to check out a Black and Tan Coon Hound named Paula. We spent some time with her and decided to bring her home. While waiting to complete paperwork, Jill, one of the lobby dogs, started to interact with my husband. She would bring him a toy and ask to be petted. She just wanted him to pay attention to her. He said "look at her" and I responded " she's sweet". She kept interacting with him when I realized we were being adopted by Jill. I told the staff we may be changing our mind and of course we did. While I felt terrible about leaving Paula behind, Jill has been the best dog. She doesn't bark, stays in her yard, loves her "babies", to take walks and everyone she meets. People are drawn to her sweet face and personality. People laugh when they see us walking down the street with Jill carrying her "baby". We could not have picked out a better dog. She knew she needed us and we needed her. She is our blessing. Save a life. Adopt!
